Paris St. Germain are set to enter talks for Manchester United target Rasmus Hojlund
According to L’Equipe (h/t Manchester Evening News), Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have spoken to 20-year-old Manchester United target Rasmus Hojlund‘s camp ahead of a potential summer move.
Hojlund is United’s primary target to fill the vacant striker position with Erik ten Hag keen to get hold of the talented Danish forward who impressed many in his first season in Italy with Atalanta.
PSG have also entered the race to sign the forward, which is good news for Atalanta as it can potentially lead to a bidding war for the player.
It is claimed that PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos has spoken with the player’s camp and have signalled the club’s intention to sign him this summer. He is valued at £80million by La Dea.
It should be noted that the French club is undergoing a major change in their transfer policy and moving from established greats of the game to players with huge potential.
The departure of Lionel Messi and the issue surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s contract also dwell on the need for more signing before their season starts. And that only raises their urgency to sign the 20-year-old Danish striker.
Therefore, United faces competition although personal terms have already been agreed between the club and Hojlund and they need to submit their first offer to Atalanta as soon as possible.
On the other hand, a factor that does play in our hands is that Hojlund is a United fan and is really keen on playing for a club he has been supporting.

It could be regarded as a dream move for the player and in that sense United do hold an advantage over PSG. However, the main part is agreeing to a deal with Atalanta which will not be easy as they would prefer to have a bidding war for the player which could generate a higher fee.
