It's no secret that following their sale from Colony Capital to Qatar Investment Authority, PSG have done nothing but spend money. Having already added the likes of Kévin Gameiro, Javier Pastore, Jérémy Ménez, Alex, Thiago Motta and Maxwell last season, they've been heavy in the transfer market once again this summer.

There is no denying that Robin van Persie is a fantastic footballer, or at least he has been scoring regularly for Arsenal during the 2011-2012 season. But before that he has only managed to score 66 Premier League goals in 194 games. 0.34 goals per game.
As I'm always keen to learn as evidenced by my qualifications which included LEED AP, FICE, MIStruct E, BSc (Honours I), FASCE, PE and CEng, I took to heart the rather limited (but adjective consistent) response to my proposal that live Sport of any kind is preferable to watching on TV the half empty stadiums holding sports that I have no interest in for 4 years in the Olympic Games.
