FA Cup clash against Newport County has been dubbed a ‘nightmare’ for Manchester United.

Manchester United will be taking on Newport County for the fourth round of the FA Cup. While most fans believe that this will be an easy win for the Red Devils, a pundit has dubbed it as a ‘nightmare’ game.

Pundit Chris Sutton, while talking to The Daily Mail has said that even if Erik ten Hag wins he will not be able to win. Which shows his lack of faith in the Old Trafford squad.

This will be the first time that the two squads face off in a match, with little to know information about their tactics, the Dutchman will surely be fighting an uphill battle this Sunday.

Leicester City were also thought to be favourites back when they faced Newport in 2019. However, much to everyone’s surprise the League Two team pulled off the impossible and knocked out Leicester to advance in the FA Cup.

Manchester United have already been pretty inconsistent this season, so if they slip up against Newport it wouldn’t be surprising, to say the least.

Moreover, people cannot overestimate the impact that a loss in the FA Cup will have on Erik ten Hag’s job security. This is the last chance for the Red Devils to win any silverware this season. The Dutchman cannot afford to let this opportunity slip by.

Erik ten Hag's job might be at stake against Newport County.
