Midfield it seems is certainly the area of the pitch where we can all agree that Manchester United need work to improve on. Shinji Kagawa was hauled in from German double winners Borussia Dortmund and young starlet Nick Powell was signed from Crewe.
Poor isn’t a word that was thrown at Robin van Persie last season. After all after scoring 37 goals in what was at the start of the season a poor Arsenal team, he pretty much had the best season of his career to date.
Frustrating is probably the word that would sum up Nani’s season. After a terrific start to the season, injuries began to creep in and after losing his place to Antonio Valencia, the Portuguese winger’s influence faded away.
