Denmark Boss has plans to manage the minutes of Rasmus Hojlund while he’s away from Manchester United

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Denmark boss, Kasper Hjulmand will be starting Manchester United star, Rasmus Hojlund during the upcoming friendly against Switzerland. The 21-year-old was recently injured while playing for the Red Devils.

A lot of people have questioned his selection for the national team. The young Dane has just returned from injury and playing for Denmark could leave him for another. However, Hjulmand seems to have a plan. Let’s have a look at what he had to say about managing Hojlund’s minutes. (h/t Manchester Evening News)

“We have an agreement with United about the total amount of playing time in the two matches.”

“Our staff has put together a plan with Erik ten Hag on how he will get the best build-up after Rasmus’ injury period.”

Hjulmand says that Hojlund will play the full 90 minutes against Switzerland. However, there are currently no plans for the second game against the Faroe Islands. It seems like the young Dane will be getting some serious time during international duty.

The Denmark boss is smart to come up with a plan for managing Hojlund’s playing time. Both Manchester United and Denmark expect big things from the 21-year-old. So, his health takes priority.

Fans will be hoping to see the Dane arrive at Old Trafford in top form. All of the Red Devils’ remaining games this season are extremely important and Erik ten Hag will be expecting his team to win them all.

An in-form Rasmus Hojlund is a scary sight for most teams.

This would be an unachievable feat without Hojlund. United will need him to make an impact if they wish to salvage their season.
