Rasmus Hojlund has been in a top notch form in-front of goal
The pressure on the young shoulders of Rasmus Højlund to be the focal point at Manchester United is massive. Rasmus Højlund did feel that pressure after failing to find the net in 14 appearances in English topflight.
Rasmus Højlund has now created history with the Red Devils. After his brace against Luton Town, the 21-year-old striker became the youngest ever player in the Premier League to score goals in six consecutive games in the English first division.
As Harry Styles watched Rasmus Højlund and Erik ten Hag praised him after the game, the stars are falling in place for the Dane striker.
Cesc Fabregas’ big praises
Former Arsenal and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas believes that Rasmus Højlund has the capability to be the next legendary striker coming out of Manchester.
Cesc Fabregas likens Rasmus Højlund to one player in particular.
When Cesc Fabregas was speaking on the Planet Premier League podcast, he sat down with Mark Chapman, Nedum Onuoha and Statman Dave to take a look at this weekend’s Premier League action, this is what he had to say:
“Hojlund, exactly. He attacks the box really well, he’s very smart. He’s a type of [Ruud] Van Nisterooy type finisher when he gets his full confidence, I believe he can be a really top, top striker for United in the future.
“So when you have this and a good player one-on-one [Alejandro Garnacho] making crosses all the time, you will always get the best out of him that is 100% sure.”
These have to be big words and massive comparison from Cesc Fabregas. Ruud van Nisterooy is a legend at Old Trafford.
