Transfer News: Blackburn Rovers eyeing loan move for Manchester United youngster Dylan Levitt

According to Lancashire Telegraph (h/t MSN), Blackburn Rovers hold an ‘interest’ in signing Manchester United’s Dylan Levitt on loan during the summer transfer window.

Levitt spent the last season out on loan in two different parts of Europe. He was at Charlton Athletic for the first half of the campaign before heading out to Croatian side NK Istra 1961 earlier this year.

Despite heading out of Old Trafford to clubs where he would have had a realistic chance at first-team football, he only managed a total of five senior league starts throughout the season.

The report adds that Levitt is one of several players made available for a loan spell by United this summer. And Championship side Blackburn Rovers could land the 20-year-old Welshman on a season-long deal.

He barely looks like a player who has any immediate future at the club. With Fred, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, and Donny van de Beek all at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s disposal, Levitt’s chances look bleak.

He could, however, prove to be a useful player in the near, or even distant future. And for that purpose, it would be wise of the club to let the youngster leave on loan in search of regular football.

Currently, Levitt only has one senior appearance at United. He played the full 90 minutes for United against FC Astana in a UEFA Europa League game back in November 2019.

More Manchester United News:

He would be itching to get back to first-team football but Levitt should realize that the best way to do it, at least right now, seems to be going out on loan and impressing Solskjaer during that spell.
