If there is a need for a flexible, attacking midfielder at Manchester United, this man certainly has the potential to fill it. Remy Cabella has had an outstanding season with Montpellier so far and as a result his name has been bandied about the European stage in regards of a move, and I believe that no club would suit his attributes as much as United.
With such a remarkable strike force and a high volume of players to choose from at the back, it seems such a shame that Manchester United's midfield looks so poor this season. With Anderson making next to no impact, Marouane Fellaini not living up to his hype and Tom Cleverley, well, being Tom Cleverley, things need sprucing up a bit. Which is where this man could come in.
The deeper a club's history, the more expectation there is on said club - that is usually how it pans out in football. Manchester Unitedare certainly a club with a history, arguably one of the most successful in world football, and that seems to be causing them a few problems this season.
It's been a nightmare start at Manchester United for new boss David Moyes, but unlike some of the fans he won't be giving up any time soon. As the Scot keeps plugging away at his job the rumours keep coming, and the newest one seems to be that Brazilian playmaker Everton Ribeiro is a target and there has been a bid put in, and rejected, for his services from an unknown English club. Whether or not this is United is unclear, but what I am here to say is that David Moyes should forget about the Cruzeiro player and focus on Bundesliga ace Ilkay Gundogan.
When you think of Manchester United winger Nani there is probably not much positivity that comes to mind. With all the hype and build up that came with his signing many moons ago - he was meant to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo, wasn't he? - it now seems that his tenure at Manchester United could be over. The Expressare reporting that he may be used as a makeweight for Sporting midfield William Carvalho, which in my eyes is a perfect deal.
When David Moyes arrived at Manchester United in the summer one of the first things he did was extend the contract of Portugal international Nani. The move meant that United fans expected the winger to be heavily involved in the upcoming season, but with the introduction of Adnan Januzaj has seen Nani somewhat excluded. It now seems as though he will be leaving the club this month, either on loan or on a permanent deal, with either Fulhamor Sporting Lisbon a potential suitor.
But what will they be getting?
With Patrice Evra's Manchester United contract running out in the summer, it could be time for David Moyes to start looking for a replacement. Some people want Leighton Baines to make the move from Everton, while some fancy Southampton's Luke Shaw to sign at Old Trafford. One name that keeps popping up though is Fabio Coentrao, who according to the Express is on the verge of signing until the end of the season. But is he the right man for the job?
Manchester United need something special to happen this month if they are to retain their Premier League crown. Slumped in seventh place in the table, United are supposedly ready to spend big, and they don't come much bigger in terms of ambition than Juventus pairing Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba - both of whom are to be bid for, according to the Daily Mail. But where would they fit in?
I am expecting a flurry of transfer activity in the next two weeks and I suspect that a lot of that will be from Manchester United. David Moyes' shaky tenure in charge of the club hasn't gone to plan to date and they still sit some way behind leaders Arsenal, but it looks as though the former Everton boss is ready to start making some changes.
Let's flick through some attributes that you'd like to see in a midfielder player joining your club, as a Manchester United fan.
